Our story is just beginning. We began as a youth baseball club and grew into so much more. Teaching and sharing the love of baseball and softball with youth ballplayers is our mission and creating a lifelong love of the game is our goal. We now provide hitting, fielding and general instruction for all levels of player, from just starting with the game to High School.

Welcome to the Highlands Ranch Black Sox Instruction page. My name is Jason Sunstrom. I have been a youth specific coach for over 14 years an began coaching over 24 years ago. I have coached at all levels including Recreational, Competitive, Travel/Club and High School. I am currently coaching High School and club baseball here in Highlands Ranch as well as a 14u Girls intermediate softball team.

My expertise is in hitting instruction and have a passion for helping youth players maximize their enjoyment of the game. However I can also help with defensive fundamentals, catching and pitching skills. My goal is to get your son or daughter in a place where they can be successful and enjoy the sport of baseball or softball. For those that are nearing the end of their little league journey I can also help prepare them for High School baseball. I am a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA).

Each kid is unique in the way they approach hitting and I work to assess their strengths and use training methods that will best work for their skill set and ability. We will work together to improve their skills and more importantly help them to contribute to team success.
